At my store the openers/miss clean sinks and drains more often than closers do. Don’t think it’s supposed to be that way but it happens.

I think different stores have different priorities cause at my store at least, the sinks don't always get cleaned because there are other things that get prioritized unfortunately and it's hard to get evvvvvverything done because there's so much, especially since morning crew doesn't/can't help with the cleaning throughout the day. It sucks.

For us, A staff of 5 + $1900 days. I been the new lead for two months at this location. You should’ve seen the gross slime I plunged out of the ice machine a few weeks back cause no one knows the last time that was cleaned🤭.

My SM hasn’t scheduled clean play in 4 months, even though I’ve repeatedly begged him to/offered to stay late with a barista to clean. We are regularly getting out late EVERY day because of how understaffed we are. don’t get me wrong—I’m not leaving dirty sinks. My store has never, and WILL never, look like the first picture as long as I’m a closing shift, but the clean play tasks? I try to get one or two done every week. Because I cannot keep up. The drains are done daily, and the daily cleaning tasks are also done. But things like the ice machine? The ice machine that you have to completely empty and turn off to clean? Ive managed to clean it once in 4 months.

The short answer is that we’re all so understaffed and overworked that there simply isn’t time. And if there is time, the whole staff is burnt out.

I was going to ask why is there corn in the sink 🤢

Sponge with a pitcher of soapy water to get the first few layers off, then a mr clean sponge (the lavender bathroom one). Rinsed a bunch of time. And then my secret weapon.. Cafiza and hot water 😂. I use it on everything for a deep scrub, stained sinks? stained iced coffee pitchers? Pop a tablet with hot water, give it a scrub and you be amazed the coffee grease that comes off. The only thing I have not been able to clean is the kiwi refresher pitcher that is stained green

That’s exactly how this all started.. gets clogged, built up of milk and frap waste.. not rinsing it, leaving it and continuing for days on end. Zero fucks.
