Get there early. It will help prepare yourself for ur open. It’ll go by fast. At the beginning of each hour, regroup yourself and make sure you have met everyone’s meals and breaks. Your team is your top priority, don’t worry about anything else at first. Don’t forget to take your own breaks so you can catch your breath. If you have a laundry list of things piling up in your head that you see needs to be done, pick one thing you can do and then assign the other tasks to other people—- you are a delegation conductor now!

Also, YOU ARE GONNA DO GREAT! You got this!

If you have them, the play caller cards are really useful cause it lists everything you need to get done. Another pro tip I have as an opening shift is I try to get my other openers’ breaks in before peak, which they appreciate very much. I usually get mine in there right before peak starts. You got this, don’t sweat it.

Is it the one with another key holder or full alone?

Don't worry about messing up, just keep a task list going at all times because you are likely to forget something. What seems like the biggest mistake isn't bad as long as the customers and workers are happy. If your manager is as great as mine was, keep in contact with them through the day and don't be afraid to ask questions. Keep good vibes going at all time, and if you have a close coworker, gave them in a flex position so they can help you if needed. You'll do great!
