So I'm kinda annoyed in the fact that I can't wear all of my facial peircings but guys can have long ass beards. I'm sorry your beard hair is more likely to be a health and safety violation than my nose or lip rings. I guess I'm just disappointed that I can't have my bomb ass peircings but guys can have bomb ass beards. I love men in beards too so I don't want that to be taken away. I just want corporate to get over the peircing bullshit!

Or the fact that they let you have tattoos but you can’t have throat or face tattoos like......??? My tattoos are not a risk to literally anyone why does it matter?

Not that it’s a risk, but it can be off putting to customers. I don’t intend to be mean, but it’s just a professional thing.

Tattoos literally don’t make anyone less professional though I’m sick of that old idea. Also the idea is rooted in racism since there are multiple cultures who get tattoos for religious and spiritual reasons, and it’s very common for them to be on the face.

I have 2 wrist tattoos and always had to wear a watch and wrist strap to cover them up. Then one day it all flipped and my watch and strap were violations but the tattoos were just fine… like ok this place is run by cats who want to be inside and outside at the same time. Oh and all the dress code violations I received in the past are totally cool now. Good stuff.

YES omg I am so mad I can’t wear my Apple Watch anymore! I really use it to track my health and make sure I get all my calories in and what not but now I have to have it off and now I gotta work even harder to reach my goals because it I’m not wearing my watch then on my apps it doesn’t count! I mean I know I did the work but on paper (app) it looks sad :(

Honestly me too! I just had a sit down with my DM because I'm being promoted to shift and when I took my mask off she was like "OH!! I didn't know you had all those.... dress code says...."

My manager knew cause we did an online interview and I didn’t wear a mask, she didn’t care at all but she said once masks come off I need to take them out. Little does she know I’m moving in August haha. It’s always funny when I pull my mask down in the back and my coworkers are like “oh! I didn’t expect you to have piercings…”

i (& most of the partners at my store) have stopped wearing masks because we’re fully vaccinated & luckily my sm hasn’t said anything about my four facial piercings & nose chain yet 🥴

It's an annoying rue sure, but it's in place for a reason. It's impossible to guarantee that nose ring won't come loose and fall into a drink or food item. Hell, a girl went viral like a month ago because her diamond nose ring DID come off and fell into someone's food order and she didn't realize until much later.

We’re allowed to have one facial piercing as long as it’s not bigger than the size of a dime. So technically OP could have a nose ring and keep said nose ring in and take the other piercings out. I’ve had a nose piercing since October 2019 and got hired almost a year earlier. At that point we could only have a nose stud. Since March of 2020 I’ve had a nose ring in and have no intention of removing it, since I’m allowed to have it according to the policy.

I have 3 nose rings and 2 lip rings. Yes technically I can choose one and take the rest out but that's what I'm annoyed by. My peircings are less likely to fall out than say shedding beard hair.

I'm 35 and very professional. How I like to look has no bearing on my professionalism. I've had a career in doing hair for 17 years and as a barista for almost 10. How about taking your old school boomer attitude somewhere else 🤷🏼♀️

Hahahahahahahaha. Stop projecting onto me and take your attitude somewhere else. Cause you're so far off lmao. It doesn't matter how you feel about it. The professional work world deems it as unprofessional. So again. It's something you sign up for with being pierced. Given your age, you should definitely be used to it. Just because you know your professional doesn't change the unfortunate reality. Complaining about it won't change that, time eventually will but until then.... 🤷🏻♀️
