So had a majorly rude customer a few days ago. This man, omg, pulled up to the drive thru which is all well and good except he pulled too far forward, enough to where we couldn't hear him. We could see the back portion of his truck. He refused to back up or speak up (we could hear him mutter something) and after a minute of trying to explain that we couldn't hear him - we asked him to pull up to the window so we could take his order there. He pulled around and glared at us for a solid second, but he was pulled all the way to the other side of the drive edge, so I had to practically hang out of the window in order to figure out what he was saying. Conversation went as follows:
"Hi sir! Sorry, we couldn't hear you at all at the order box? What are you wanting for us to make for you today?" (My customer service voice was on par)
Him: "Ham and cheese croissant."
Me: "Alright. Will that be all for you today?"
*no response, just glaring/staring at me as he shoves a $20 towards me*
Me (still attempting to be friendly): "Alright that will be $4.27!" I grab his change and hand it back to him. Almost dropped said change cuz I'm short - only 5'4" - and he's pulled so far from the window... which made him apparently even grumpier. I then go to the ovens and get the ham and cheese croissant warmed, all that jazz. I then hand said croissant to the actual DTO/DTR partner (who was in the bathroom up until this point) to hand out. She goes and hands it out, not even 5 seconds later I just see his truck practically take off from his position. I turn to look at the DTO/DTR partner, who was like "dude. He almost hit my hands with his truck... and like 2 seconds before he peeled out of here he's like 'you are all stupid, this isn't the right sandwich'."
Like dude, if you wouldn't have taken off like a bat out of hell then we would have made you a roasted ham and swiss... which I'm assuming is probably what he actually wanted.
