Pretty sure my anti-vaxxer colleague is lying about being vaccinated so she doesn't have to wear a mask. Is it true that managers have to take their word for it and can't ask for proof?

At my store you have to bring in your card, they scan it and then you have to fill out a form, take a picture of it and show it to the shift in duty

As everyone else said, the vaxx card is required

My manager had us show proof of vaxx and had us sign a form if we didn't wear our masks anymore. I'm in Los Angeles tho so everyone's going to be wearing masks again starting tomorrow.
Not sure about other counties tho.

she can be fired for this. contact your dm or call the partner line because she is required to show proof of vaccination

My manager requires our vaccination card and sends the info to our DM.

The corporate policy, as sent via update the last 2 weeks, requires self disclosure of vaccine documentation to the store manager. They have to fill out a form and have it approved. Partners are supposed to show a copy of the verification to the shift on duty in order to work without a mask. It's assumed that once you're cleared for your store you won't need it every time because your manager and shifts will know. But if someone doesn't have documentation and is refusing to wear a mask, the shift is supposed to enforce the policy or send them home. If they aren't asking for it, that's also a problem.

this happened to me, then she came into work 3 DAYS IN A ROW WITH SYMPTOMS and then tested positive. my store director (I work in a kiosk) didn’t care at all and said we’d all be fine

So frustrating!

Vax card required. SM and partner Sign paperwork- show said paperwork to SS before each shift. Sign off on COVID sheet.

employers are well within their rights to ask for proof of vaccination

Umm maybe it depends on your state, in mine I've never heard of ANY business being allowed to ask for proof. At my store we aren't even allowed to mention it to customers.

They don’t technically ask for proof, it’s a voluntary disclosure of your vax status. They (supervisors) can ask for proof that you signed the disclosure form if you come in without a mask, which is a roundabout way of proving status. It’s a bit goofy but yeah they can’t ask you about it, you have to do it yourself so it’s legal.
