Tarbucks (self.starbucksbaristas)

I don't understand why people in stand alones think that tarbucks people are incompetent and that they can't follow simple rules? Like what makes you all think that y'all are better than them? Cuz I work at one and I've worked at a stand alone and I can tell y'all that our store is so much better and cleaner than the stand alone one. AND we get paid more.

Preach! I worked at a brand new Tarbucks back in 2012-2013 and it was beautiful! Our trainer was sooo jealous. AND she said we have it harder in many ways since most shifts were solo. Tarbucks very rarely has more than 2 people working. I opened and closed alone for an entire year. Not to mention, we were also cross trained on Target cash so in an insane rush we could run over and help on the Target side as well. Tarbucks and stand alone store menus are identical.

Yeah weekends are awful especially when the other person goes on their break and you're all by yourself. All I can say to the tarbucks haters is it's okay they can keep hating. We get paid more and if we want we can work at other departments to get more money🤷🏽‍♀️

That’s exactly why I quit my Tarbucks job and went to an actual Starbucks. I make less, but I get free college and I’m not as stressed as I was before.

Yup! I’m back at a Corporate store that’s paying for my Grad school

Target actually reimburse your money that you use for college but they don't tell a lot of people that idk why

Becuase they don’t want us to leave for higher paying jobs lol

I didn’t know they paid for graduate school, I thought they only cover a bachelors degree

I’m Canadian and it’s college grad school. University I believe they only pay for a bachelor degree. But since my “Grad school” is technically only the 3rd year of a bachelor I found a loop hole lol if that makes sense

yes i agree! i’ve worked at both stand alone and tarbucks, and tarbucks was so much more stressful and hectic. I was by myself 85% of the time and we had to open and close by ourselves. i think if i hadn’t worked at a corporate store previously i would’ve been way more stressed.

I think there became this stigma when tiktoks for drinks were being posted from different Tarbucks baristas who didn’t appear to be busy because they had time to make all the tiktoks and baristas were getting pissed off at having to make the more complicated drinks so they just assume that all Tarbucks are like that where it’s not busy and therefore easier even if it isn’t true

I don’t think that stand alone stores think you’re incompetent. You’re just literally employed by someone completely different. Target owns the Starbucks inside their stores and don’t have to answer to SBUX corporate really, they just get our supplies and items. You guys operate in a much different way than stand alone (not worse or better, just different). But because things are so different, maybe it’s more that they know we have different training and processes? Doesn’t excuse their attitude, but might be a different perspective to look at?
