Grande rant with a scoop of vanilla bean powder I'm o (self.starbucksbaristas)

I'm on my ten and this shift leader has been so weirdly passive aggressive to me. I try to have a customer connection or whatever and really just push things for the company and all she does is tell me how my interactions are driving up window time and making customers upset but if I don't talk to the customers she gets upset.

On top of that when I came back after my mom passed, she asked me "oh what you're coming back?" As the first question to me. Like what....I guess I just should find another place because I work with her most of all but I dread work each time I have to work with her. I try to be a good coworker but she makes me feel like I'm not going to be useful.

I found out on Sunday that she would make me skip out on my other 10 during an 8 hour shift. So I would just end up working for 6 hours non stop by the end

Also I might not have worded things well I'm just you know having a breakdown on my 10 or whatever.

You should find another place to work but if you don’t do that, talk to your manager and tell them you don’t get along with that supervisor and cannot work with them any longer. Also you’re legally owed your breaks. Report that to the manager. Doing that on purpose is illegal

Unfortunately I don't quite have enough clout to throw my weight around for that stuff and the main shift leader is just as mean. Unfortunately I also have to work here because I have two jobs and this is the nearest starbucks. There isn't much I can do sadly

If you haven’t spoken to the manager you definitely could, this is not okay behavior. Personally as a shift I was never super hard about window times because we’re understaffed with hella drinks and it’s just not possible.

Unfortunately I didn’t agree with management that quality should be sacrificed for quantity so I quit.
