The Verona dad joke (self.starbucksbaristas)

I'm not a partner anymore, but I just remembered my highest point during my time at the 'bucks and I thought some of you might enjoy it.
I was on bar and my friend was on register when these two dads came in. They ordered their drinks and one of them wanted a bag of coffee, but wasn't familiar with our roasts so he asked my friend what dark roasts we had. My friend started listing them off and when he got to Verona I interrupted him with a "DUN NA NA NA DU NA MY VERONA" (to the tune of My Sharona) and while my friend was rolling his eyes at me, the dad that was asking about our roasts was cracking up. He bought a bag of Verona and when his drink was done he came up to me and told me that my joke was really funny, and I'm convinced he went home and asked his kids/wife to ask him what kind of coffee he got so he could tell them the joke. Anyway that's when I peaked in my Starbucks career and feel free to use the Verona joke if you have any dads buying beans in your store.

My favorite was taking the bag of Kenya and showing it my coworker and going "ahhhh! It's Kenya!" To the tune of the "Circle of Life"/Lion King theme and he caught on and finished the sentence.

Back when we used to have fun all the time..
When I would take orders, writing cups and bags, and she would be on oven anytime someone would order a bacon sandwich and I would call out 'bacon'; we would break out into Pumbaa's bacon song.

Love it, back in the pre covid days we would yell out FETTY WAP whenever someone ordered a spinach feta wrap
