i’m trying to transfer to a store near my college BUT it’s a town where there is only one store anywhere close to the store and people from all over are trying to transfer there too (i assume). i tried to hit the ball running a couple months ago with that store by getting in contact with the manager but alas life happens and i broke my ankle, sending me on short term disability and LOA for a while and transferring was the least of my concerns at that point. i didn’t get the official paperwork in until the beginning of july and am very likely to not get a position at that store.

what do i do when i can’t transfer?

i’m at a loss on what to do bc i love the job and the money certainly is helpful too…. i know the rational answer is to find another job and hope for the best in the summer to get a job at my home store again but am trying to find any glimpse of hope.
