We looked it up in store too but we had to stop halfway but we were all like that’s definitely not Tom’s diner but then one of our partners recognized Suzanne’s version and was like but I swear it had lyrics why’d they choose the instrumental version?? You’re a lifesaver I thought I was just imagining it being a clown edit. Those 5am coffee fumes really get to you

Maybe they thought the version with lyrics wasn't "Starbucks appropriate" for some reason? 😂 Of course a few of my coworkers said it sounded like that one Fall Out Boy song but that's because they sampled it

It's the reprise. On some albums artists will repeat their first song again as the last song with altered lyrics or music. On Solitude Standing, the album it's from, Tom's Diner is both the first and last song with the reprise version as the last one.
