To be honest I would have probably given her exactly what she wanted: a cup of 6 pumps of classic and heavy cream. Been like "that's exactly what you told me you wanted... you refused to give me any more information, enjoy your drink". Then would have gently closed the window.

i almost did but didnt wanna add to her rage bc she had a line of customers behind her waiting.-. even tho thats what she asked for, she wouldve just put even more blame on us so its a lose lose situation which is extremely frustrating

That's fair! Although it would still be super satisfying to give that to her... and yeah. Customers are frustrating! I had one girl order multiple drinks one time, including an iced caramel macchiato with no ice. She ordered it grande at the order box and it was the first drink I handed out to her... I handed out the rest of her drinks and then she smirked and was like "I ordered this as Venti! Remake it for me." She had drank half of it and hadn't complained until legitimately the last drink was handed out.
Since I didn't want to deal with a snobby teenager (that's legit what she was - had all of her friends in the car with her also), I had to have the bar person remake the iced caramel macchiato without ice as a venti... however we had revenge. She *might* have gotten decaf instead of regular espresso! 😇

I've been workibg for sbux for over a year now and I just cannot get over how much this company creates and bends to these shitty entitled customers. Legitimate thank you for sticking up for your partners there

she would never talk to a store full or large men that way. you all can be in denial all you want. these rude customers would get their teeth knocked out if they talked to a carpenter, bartender, electrical worker, etc that way. they feel comfortable acting hysterical and rude because it's a store full of young women and maybe one token male.

Good job sticking up for ur partners but when it gets to that point it’s okay to break out of the shell and punch a bitch in the face

had awful customers today as well and “please say sike” is the perfect way to capture how i feel about some of these mfs like they can’t be serious!

Awww I’m really sorry :( It’s very easy to say what id have done in the moment because I wasn’t there so I hope this just makes you smile, but what I’ve been doing recently is just making them a very weak decaf iced americano when they order like that 🤣 imagine 1 shot of decaf with 6 pumps of classic and Lots of heavy cream. She won’t be back.

Sounds like the case of person in vehicle at DT is ordering drink for someone not in the car. The person ordering is NOT a Starbucks customer. After all the frustration of communicating, the person on the phone hungup because they were upset, hearing that the person in the vehicle was upset. The person in the vehicle had so much pride to not explain they had no idea what they were ordering and focused the attention on the Starbucks DT partner not having ESP (ability to read minds) to know exactly what the drink was suppose to be in the first place.
It's going to happen in customer service. Whenever my partners ever experienced that type of special order situation, I would help the frustrated partner to recover from the frustrating moment by joking with them for NOT having ESP (ability to read minds).
I would have the customer drive up to the window to order, and then at window I would say, I apologize for any misunderstandings (even if it's not my fault), and ask them to start fresh, start over with the order. If it still seems like they are missing something, start basic reply with, "did you want that (6 classic pumps, creme) in a medium hot or iced coffee?"

That’s exactly what happened lmao. The customer drove up to the window, and they tried to get clarification
