What about the other partners wearing headsets who heard it? Get all their statements for an incident report

No, dt is not recorded.

Your SSV can't ban the customer anyway, only your DM can, and you have to document via incident report (iPad) for that to happen. If the customer returns, make sure your SSV is looped in and can witness the interaction, then make sure you're documenting.

Starbucks won't ban anyone for a one-off interaction rude interaction. Keep documenting and when it's happened a few times, tell your SM (though they should be notified when you report).

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately my supervisor was up front with a customer when the whole incident happened and did not have his headset on. I just transferred to this store a few months ago. I’ve been a partner for 5 years and at my old store (different district, cafe only) we banned several customers. I feel this was more than just a “rude interaction.” She used explicit language that violates Starbucks third place policy. Other partners informed me that this is normal behavior for this particular customer, which is why I’m so confused as to why my store still welcomes her back. Maybe it’s an issue with my DM. Thanks for letting me vent my frustrations

Yeah, this stinks and your fellow partners shouldn't tolerate her either. All I can say is keep doing the incident reports. Also talk to your SM & DM.

Does it extend to incidents that are explicitly discriminatory? Like race or sexual orientation? Because that’s a pretty high bar if it is not.
