Massive mobile. I'm still not over getting 3 huge orders at warming at 3 pm my last shift. Like 20 something items mixed in with some cafe and drive through orders that I prioritized. I could not get my shift's attention because she was solo DTOing, and what was she going to do anyway so I did the cafe orders and handed off, was on my way back to the ovens when I had to grab another cafe order, it was just too much to make her wait, it's the decision I made to take that woman's cafe order rather than get those massive mobiles started, I was going to do drive through first anyway. At that moment SSV got relieved from DTO and was immediately angry with me when she saw all those mobiles, which I don't think was fair to me. I was going to prioritize drive through and cafe and chip away at those mobiles, by then I had learned that it was from 3 easy going moms feeding kids and visiting together in the cafe. I dunno, I didn't do anything wrong and didn't deserve to get yelled at. Reminds me of when my SO gets mad at me because a car breaks down, seriously, get over yourself

That’s just abuse.
Like even if your shift didn’t mean to be abusive, this job is pretty much designed to be impossible for one person to handle, I feel like everyone needs to be aware of that.
You didn’t do anything wrong, you did your best in the situation and don’t you dare take your shift’s anger to heart.

I just wanted to say that this is exactly how you excel in the warming position with how hectic it is these days. This is so similar to how I do it and you are completely right to do it that way (for me the exact order is dt then cafe then delivery then mobiles) and if your manager is upset with you tell them that everyone succeeds in different ways and with no help in a front position, you are automatically going to be backed up. You’re doing great! Don’t let people walk on you or change the way you do things! 🔥

Someone ordered 7 plain bagels, warmed and cream cheese… in DT. they were asked to pull to the front and got annoyed when we didn’t have them done within two minutes

Someone bought 10 bagels from us through drive thru with cream cheese. Our green bean rung it in and totalled around $100 b/c she rung it in wrong. We were all so confused lol

we had someone come in at peak
and do this the other day, she came back the next day and complained about how they just taste like egg now with no bacon and cheese and i told her i would report it to my manager and to have a good day….. she expected me to remake all ten (10!) orders of the bites (again during a peak time)

Someone came and ordered for their entire office. Made 15 oatmeals two bagels and five cake pops 😀 not to mention the surge of coffees that the register and bar had to make. This was all a cafe order.

Ok but I had someone ask if I could switch out the breads between a sausage and egg and a double smoked. They weren’t going to pay for both, they were hoping they were special enough to have us throw out the rest of a sandwich
