It's gonna be a lot to take in your first week, keep in mind that it takes about 6 months to figure out how everything works.
Don't be too intimidated by the amount of things to learn, your coworkers are there to help you and as long as you are putting in the effort to learn, they won't be (or at least they *shouldn't be*) annoyed at you asking questions.
Customers can be shitty, and what they do and say can sometimes get under your skin. Remember that you are just human, and without you, they don't get their coffee ;)
Don't be a doormat, if your manager is scheduling you outside your availability, bring it up, fight it (professionally of course), and don't let anyone take advantage of you.
This job can actually be quite fun, especially when you get into a flow. I myself enjoy the rush of making a billion drinks during rush, so long as I'm not suddenly interrupted.
If you're in a drive thru store, make sure you hit the right button on the headset when talking amongst yourselves so you don't end up talking out the speakerbox accidentally! XD
When making sweet cream, go heavy on the whipping cream so it foams properly. When making whipped creams, make sure the white rubber ring is in the top before charging it (you'll know what I'm talking about once you get to that point)
Wear nonslip shoes, and get comfortable ones with leather tops. The leather tops/water resistant tops are "mandatory" for your own safety, espresso and hot water are ***hot***. Nonslip isn't required which I find silly, save yourself a fall and get nonslip (I've been told we get discounts on sketchers??)
And last, enjoy yourself as much as you can (seems cliche to say it, but I've had a lot of fun with my coworkers and made some really good friends out of a few of them)

At the end of the day it’s only coffee, try not to let people get to you.

Don’t try to overwhelm yourself too much with the actual bar stuff at the beginning. If you’re in a normal corporate store then you’ll probably just be doing drive thru and front/cs at the beginning. When ringing in orders check out the boxes at the side and try to memorize some recipes as in (this size and drink gets this many shots and this many pumps)
