yeah being a barista isn’t for everyone, i love it but we have a team that makes the job fun. but yeah as soon as you quit you have to pay out of pocket for ASU.

It takes either 2 or 3 months to become eligible for benefits (a requirement for the ASU program, plus you have to apply, be accepted, register etc). Realistically you wouldn't start classes until the spring (or maybe the 2nd fall session if things go smoothly). And then however long it takes you to get your degree. So if you are already miserable you'll have to decide if it's worth it....

Try to find a job with corporate or not in a retail position. It’s not always available based on where you live but it’s a good option if you hate being a barista. You can still work another position at Starbucks and still get ASU. Ex. Roasting plant workers etc

Like what the other baristas said, I think it’s between 2-6months. I transferred in the summer to ASU whenever I started working at the Bucks. I started working in October and started applying in March.
There are other things you have to do to “qualify” tho. I don’t remember the smaller things but I for sure know that you have to work a average of at least 20hrs a week.
My experience working with ASU has been amazing. Everyone is really nice and helpful.
Good luck!

I already have applied and got accepted to Asu and am enrolled for the fall semester but like I said I just started working at Starbucks, do you think I should hold off until spring for school then,

I would hold off until you have the SCAP scholarship admitted to your myASU home page. You have to work at least 20 hours a week for at least 3 months and that three months has to be within their quarterly calendar. You should contact them and get the scoop on everything because that’s what I did and I graduate in December! Once you do get it all set up and you’re ready to register, make sure that you take as many classes as you can while maintaining good grades. I took 2 courses at a time and sometimes 3 courses…. Three was awful and you’re def not supposed to do that. Anyways, always take at least 12+ credits a semester so you don’t end up having to work forever at starbucks because it will feel like they have you by the balls. Lol. (I don’t have balls but it has felt like they were holding me by neck at all times.)
