Covid Exposure, Store Closed (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by yellowhearted
This Monday, one partner found out she was exposed to COVID-19 and wiped out our entire staff, save for 5 people.
We’re working from 4:30-11:45 doing opening and closing procedures.
So far, we’ve done this for three days.
Today I found out that 2/5 people who weren’t exposed to the initial exposure have now been exposed to COVID-19. One of those people is our only key holder.
I’ve been informed that since I am vaccinated, I will not be compensated for the hours lost due to my co-workers irresponsibility. (They lead kind of anti-mask lifestyles)
Why am I being punished for something I didn’t do?
Does anyone have answers? I kinda want to call corporate because I’m panicking - I /need/ those hours to keep a roof over my head.
