Hi, I have an interview with a location for a shift supervisor position. I've been working at chick-fil-a as a trainer for the last year and was wondering what to expect going into the job? Also, I was curious what to expect normally for shift supervisor pay in Texas. I'm shooting for $13-15/hr. Also curious what your recommendations are for attire for a Starbucks interview? TIA

I would be prepared for a shock in terms of labor standards. At least in my area chic-fil-a's always seem to be staffed with a ton of people, whereas at Starbucks it's always barely enough to do the job, with one call out potentially turning the shift into a train wreck.

All it takes is a person being 15 minutes late to make everyone anxious

I came from Chick-fil-a too. You can access the attire by looking up 2021 Starbucks look book. it’s so nice going from wearing those awful chick-fil-a pants to being able to wear things from my own closet. if your experience at chick-fil-a is anything like mine, you’re prepared for how crazy rush can get.

Depends on where you are in Texas but shifts are starting at around 15/hr when the new pay scale goes into effect. I am in Texas as well. If you live in an area that has a higher cost of living, it might be higher, but I kinda doubt it because it sounds like partners in Austin don’t get paid more than other areas.
