You get paid SSV rate for your official training along with working as a shift. But the training doesnt last a month. Are you officially training as in doing the modules or is your manager having you just learn some of the basics outside of the actual training? If its just preparing you for the role then no you are still technically a barista. If you are officially training for SSV then you get ssv pay. However the SSV training is like 12 hours with an opening and closing practice shift.

I started getting shift pay as soon as my training started. I technically never even finished training actually lol so I would be pissed if I wasn’t making shift pay this whole time. I’d just casually ask your manager when your paycheck will start reflecting that pay raise.
