don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. no sense in an already shit job being made shittier by oworkwra who can’t keep it professional. if they have a problem with something you’re doing they need to say so so y’all can work out a solution. otherwise they need to keep their shit together

they shouldn’t make you feel bad for not staying late either. your schedule is your schedule. if you’re supposed to leave at x time- you are not responsible for anything after that.

I’ve been a barista for two years and I’ve started saying “poor planning on your part doesn’t constitute an emergency on mine.”
