I went to college online while working full time... Its difficult, it requires discipline and time management. Not sure how old you are, i was in my late 20s early 30s when I went back. At the time I felt dumb telling friends i couldn't go out because i had a paper or studying. Be ready (depending on your work schedule) to give up doing fun stuff and making school a priority. if your not ready to make it a priority, don't waste your time, frfr
It's been 5 years since I finished, ZERO regrets. In fact I'm over halfway through a Masters degree now. if you want feel free to message me with specific questions about online classes. hell I'm taking one myself this summer.
Don't be afraid to invest in yourself!!

totally second this. it's worth it but YOU have to make it worth it. is saving over $50,000 on a degree worth it to you? if it is, you have to be willing to adjust your entire life for a few years. I just graduated in May with my degree in Spanish and I have absolutely no regrets. it sucked the entire time but it paid off.

also you may want to consider how supportive your manager is and if it would be worth it to transfer. I had the same manager almost the entire time I was in school and she was fantastic about making sure I had finals week off and any extra time I needed for projects and zoom meetings. without the right support system at work (and at home) it's going to take a much steeper toll on you.

I LOVE online school. It does take a bit of discipline but I love online because I can do my work whenever, where ever. I don't have to wait to take my classes at certain times.

Now, for me, I hate that I have to rely on Starbucks to go to school because I honestly don't need the extra stress working there on top of stress of school but it is what it is, I suppose.

Yeah it kinda sucks because at the same time I want to be in person, but also not have the huge debt afterwards 😩

I read that you want a traditional classroom setting. In that case, ASU may not be for you.

I was looking into ASU and I think it’s a great program. However, I decided to go to school at an in person university. I know I can’t handle online school and I didn’t want to sacrifice the real life human connections id make. It’s definitely tough and p much everything I’m making and my savings is going towards tuition and room & board which hurts so much but I’m not going to be in too much debt as long as I keep working continuously. Id love to graduate without debt but personally for me it’s worth it to pay what I can out of pocket now and graduate with $30k in loans. That’s just based on me and my personal needs & how I learn and interact with the world though. Besides that ASU is a fully accredited university and is worth the same as an in person degree so if you think you can handle getting a degree 100% online I’d go for it. And you can always transfer your credits if you leave Starbucks or decide an in person school would be better for you. It’s an amazing benefit and financially a very very smart decision especially in a place where college is so expensive. At the end of the day just figure out what’s gonna meet your needs. ASU is the smart choice but it’s still in some ways a sacrifice. Take the time to figure out what you are and aren’t willing to sacrifice.

I saw that they have started paying up front. It sounds like an amazing deal from the perspective of someone who had student loans. Don’t you have to make sure you work at least 20 hours every week? What happens if you fall below, if you get sick? Does it count if you use sick hours?

Keep in mind they only pay you back.. meaning you have to have and pay the money up front.

They actually suggested I get a loan for that lmao

Interesting.. I only looked into the program this past year so it must be a pretty recent change? I just looked but all the information looks the same. Would you mind sharing source?

It started summer 2021 so this semester. I don't have anything in writing right now but I am taking summer and they paid for everything up front.

Huh wow. At first I wanted to be surprised they didn’t make this known..but they suck. Def makes me wonder if they will yank this away like all the other perks that have come out of COVID.
