Good Mystery Drink Options (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by starjamespma
Does anyone have any ideas for good drinks to make when someone asks for a mystery drink? Last time I tried, I vastly disappointed these two kids by making a hot chocolate and strawberry acai with sweet cream cold foam.

I’ve started giving people what I’ve seen as a “cookie butter cold brew” I do a cold brew with oat milk and top with sweet cream foam but chai and brown sugar syrup in the foam

I have a range of drinks!

For a kid or for an adult but they're a weirdo and don't like coffee - strawberries and cream frappuccino, add java chip and 1-2 pumps of mocha and add vanilla bean powder. Put strawberry puree at bottom and drizzle on top.

If they're an adult and don't want coffee but don't want a frappuccino - give them a strawberry acai lemonade, add a little strawberry puree and put a scoop of any inclusions you have (minus the kiwi) and then toss it in the blender with cream base and a scoop of ice. They love it even though it's a pain. You could also offer them a tea with a refresher base added. My favorite would be the black tea with mango base.

If they want espresso - iced caramel and vanilla latte

If they want to hear colors and see sounds or they're a college student with impending finals - Shaken expresso with blonde shots, add white mocha and toffee nut. Or go simple and give them a nitro.

I try to ask hot or iced. Coffee, no coffee.

-For hot no coffee i do a chai latte w/ vanilla and oat-milk.
-For hot coffee i do a mocha w/ 4 shots and 1/2 normal amount of mocha and caramel syrup.
-Cold no coffee, a dragon drink w/out inclusions.
-Cold coffee, caramel crunch frap.

These are my personal go to drinks. The only one not on here is a super complex cream frap. But i personally drink all of these, Especially the hot ones. I’d recommend trying the chai tea if you like chai, the oatmilk and vanilla complement it well. if you like mocha try the mocha, it’s bitter but with some flavor. If you don’t like bitter adjust the mocha/shots. And the cold ones are self explanatory

iced white mochas are almost guaranteed to be a hit, also mocha cookie crumble creme with white mocha is a fun one. if they say no coffee its always passion tea lemonade, or matcha/chai with vsccf
