I've been in it for just over a year now, started the spring of covid... Its like. It really, really depends on you as a student. I'm totally open for any questions, I'm a computer science major.
The academic advisor will tell you to start slow... Not a bad recommendation. Its very, very different from in person lectures. Most professors seem to get irritated if you ask them questions directly, they want you to public post them in discussion forums. Questions get answers between hours and days, so if you start Thursday and it's due Sunday you might not get a response before it's due. Seriously.
Get your schedule sorted. Most classes have things due on Sundays, sometimes also a random weekday. Tests are usually Mondays, Fridays, or Sundays, and will be in the syllabus. Just request them off. Its not worth hoping the day doesn't drain you. I've had very sketchy test results after a bad day when I know I know the material, and it irritates the hell out of me.
If I didn't work 38+ hours and get constantly called on early when I'm trying to study before work it wouldn't be so hard. But I am and works stressful so the last semester has been a bit of a nightmare 🥴
Again lmk if you have any questions!
