no you’re not wrong at all, you’re supposed to get a 10 around every 2 hours as far as i know? your first 10 should’ve been 8 or 9

It most places for a 5 hour shift you only get one 10. But usually still around 2/2.5 hours into the shift so the fact that this person had to ASK at 10:15 for their one and only break is fucked up.

Nope not wrong at all. You were almost done with your shift! Shift was probably frustrated with the rush as well, but they shouldn't of taken it out on you. It's their job to ensure breaks are taken in accordance to sbux policy and labor laws.

No. Fuck that. You tell your lead you're taking a break because your health is more important than this stupid ass job. I don't give a fuck what they say.

NTA. You’re allowed to have a 10.

Actually talked to our store manager on this yesterday. I recently found out that second 10s only happen if I am calling the play. In my opinion that is not acceptable. The schedule has 10s for a reason. Breaks and meals 100% happen if I am calling the play and you should expect/demand the same from your leadership.

As far as I know Starbucks policy is you shouldn’t be working over four hours without a break so you were overdue for one and that’s the shifts fault. A ten after working two hours is best but sometimes peak does delay that however peak or no peak it shouldn’t have been more then four hours. Shift here I’m fine with customers waiting and things being a little slower while tens are running it’s not worth overworking anyone in my store to just try and keep up with customers.
