Remember when *presentation beverages* were a thing?
catchinfinity5 points1y ago
Yes, when i worked the bux i was quite obessed with presentation when it came to drinks. I do think i have a few pics of instances of such drinks on my camera roll

It’s funny Bc I try my best to make every drink presentable(even tho I’m not paid enough to do so lol), it helps me from becoming bored at work
This is what the cold brews should look like! Beautiful!

You’re awesome! I would kill to get this. They always come stirred for me :(
Yurodivy19062 points1y ago
Can I get a stir stick?

This is what I imagine looking into Jupiter would be like

It annoys me to no end when I present such a thing of beauty to a customer and they pull a face and say, "I wanted it stirred." Just a solid light brown. No pattern, no drama, no artistry. People are so pedestrian (pedestrian meaning "lacking inspiration or excitement; dull.") Especially when it has a vsccf topping and they want that raft of white intact but the beverage underneath stirred. I have to admit that I rage dumped it and remade it in the customer's presence. God forbid a drop of actual unadulterated coffee touch their stupid dull pedestrian tongue.

yeah especially when they're shelling out for it, part of the cost is the labour of assembling a drink. but i dont think the company's pushed any ads related to experiencing the quality of a drink in years. the last i remember is those flat white banners that showed what it was made of. i cringe so hard when ppl ask for "no base" in a latte. how did it come to this.
FfierceLaw2 points1y ago
I remember that flat white campaign, you’re right. I think McDonalds may be behind this bland, boring, stirred, homogenized beverage thing. Created hordes of picky eaters and drinkers

I bet your fun at parties.
FfierceLaw-1 points1y ago
Helluva lot more fun than customers who have no sense of aesthetics
Teftthebridgeman0 points1y ago
That seems like a false equivalence, but whatever gets you through your shift.
I would take 10 people without a sense of taste who are good people over 1 egomaniac partner who takes the least important part of the job the most serious.
