(08/09), even though the CDC has stated that vaccinated individuals have the ability to carry the ever growing delta variant???
If I have to take 10 days off I’m gonna b screwed. Who wants to start a petition!!

If one of my coworkers gives me the virus because they refused to quarantine, Imma lose my shit. You can still transmit the virus if you’re vaccinated, for heaven’s sake, act responsibly

The CDC fucked up bad. By lifting the restriction early and then backing up their original claim, they’ve created a whole new group of anti-maskers. People who were previously pro-mask that now think the vaccine makes them immune and that they shouldn’t have to wear masks the whole time. Most scientists were saying mask guidelines should have stayed, even from within the CDC, so there really is no excuse.

You are correct, as well as everyone else who didn’t listen to the manufacturer’s claims about their vaccines. The manufacturer’s said the vaccines were highly effective in preventing serious symptoms, hospitalization, and death, they NEVER EVER claimed they were effective at reducing transmission or even reducing infections. The vaccines are doing EXACTLY what they said they would, and doing it quite well. Just because we wanted these vaccines to wipe covid out completely doesn’t mean that they would.

Frankly, we are going to have to decide if mild covid infections are worth masking forever. I do believe Covid is with us to stay, but I do believe deaths and hospitalizations will decrease substantially.

I think that we should be masking until at least a year or more from now when the dominant variant is less deadly. Delta is still far more deadly than the flu. Basically, until the variant that is dominant has a similar death rate to the flu, we should be taking precautions.

This is my stance. At this point, people have made their choice. Unless we will always have to wear masks (which isn’t the worst thing in the food industry, honestly) to protect against colds or flus, the at-risk people have all had their chance. It’s really people who care struggling to protect those who don’t from themselves. Is it worth it?

There's a very very low chance of transmission from what I've seen in the studies, but there's always a chance. This whole thing has been a fuckin mess and honestly I'm not sure if I'm surprised anymore... just disappointed and embarrassed

My roommate just tested positive and I had to take money out of my own pocket to stay home to keep coworkers and customers safe. They said I was free to come to work already

I want to know the same! Another coworker of mine recently asked me since I attempt to stay up to date on the mask mandates. I even searched for information on the partner hub but nothing recent came up. Last update was from last year! I really want to know where the Sbux mask mandate info. can be found.

If they’re requiring us to mask up again they need to go back to all restrictions Including limited seating capacity, cleaning routines, and most important: isolation pay.

My SM called me this morning saying that starting tomorrow we are wearing masks again.
