To quote Michael Scott, ‘You don’t know how high I can fly’ (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Smurphflamingo
As much as I want to say I walked out this am, I told them I am taking the day off for mental reasons cause I can’t anymore and need a break (5 weeks now I finish near 60 hours with 3 days off in two months). I told them I know there are consequences for what I am doing, but I am simply tired and Krobucks isnt my life. I need better support and I’m mentally and physically drained. They said they’re not getting rid of me, but as my husband says, ‘I hope they get the f***ing point’.

Maybe next time, they'll estimate you.

Taking a day for mental health reasons is essentially in my book a sick day. You should not be reprimanded for that, in my opinion, especially if you’re always there & helping out as much as it sounds like. Ridiculous — quit before they fire you if you’re certain that’s what’s coming. A kiosk is definitely not worth all that stress

edit: I realize you said they’re not getting rid of you, but you should still consider a different job or working out a better schedule so you are not so drained and get real days off - more than 3 in 2 months, that’s for sure
