Give me your best Latte Art tips! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by AuPalladium
Hi y'all! I've been working at Starbucks for around 3 years now, but would really appreciate some pointers on scaling up my craft. Microfoam isn't a problem but I just kinda get lost while doing latte art. I can make hearts with decent (?) consistency but a lot of the other stuff is still too difficult. What's y'all's tips and tricks and what shapes do y'all make? Very interested to know.

Im not too good at latte art either, but i know that a lot of people say the steaming pitchers starbucks uses are particularly tricky for art since the spout part is pretty rounded.

That being said practicing using some of the ceramic mugs from the back instead of the paper cups is wayyy easier since theres more surface space

The starbucks spout is fine, it is possible to make swan art in our ceramic espresso cups on ristretto shots with whole milk, so I would say they are fine. I suggest the ceramic cups and holding the pitcher and cup in such a way that you only have one direction and don’t go crooked accidentally. You can see fun sbux latte art at @ sbux_latteart.aj on insta!!
