Me: *working everything all alone during peak hours*
Customer: you’re working so hard, you deserve a tip
Me: *laughs* thank you. What can I get for you today…..
The customer then proceeded to not tip.
And for those of you who will wonder, I was by myself because I work in a licensed store, we are currently only allowed 2 people behind the counter anyways, and we are also short staffed, so I was alone for a couple hours.

I feel your pain. I too work in a licensed store and have been stuck working solo for an hour or two. And we’re located where our summer population swells.

I watched a guy tip $6 when I got him three cups of free water! Dude! Anyway your tip was the lesson that people are not sincere. I take solace in knowing that I am and that’s all I can control.
