One time someone stole our tips from the entire week. We used to put it in drawer 2 of one of the registers and one of our vendors broke in one night and stole the tips and a couple ember mugs. They also broke into a couple other stores in our district. We never got reimbursed for those tips either.

This is why they should always go into door two of the safe...

It was the envelopes with all our names on it w the tips dispersed that was in the drawer, not the tip bags. I don’t know why it wasn’t put in the safe in the first place but it was like right when I started with Starbucks.

They have to go in door 2 of our safe… at the end of each close

Every time a partner wants there tips we open the safe again. We would never leave them out, or away from the cameras

This one kid tried taking tips WHILE I was watching her. Her (sister?) was asking me about the mocha frap and when I look down the girls full ass hand is in the jar. A good stare gets her out of there but the audacity of her sister to laugh at the situation pissed me off. She came in a few weeks later with her (mom?) and couldn’t even look me in the eye.

We had a middle aged man take ours one time.. The kicker: asshole jumped into a Mercedes to make his getaway.

Lesson: don't let the tip jar get too full. Drop as much as possible, leave some change and a couple of singles, as incentive, but no more.

We got money taken from ours a few times so we learned to always drop. Its also incentive to get more cus people dont tip usually if its a lot in there. Thats why that muhfugga only got $6 from us. I really want to know why take the actual tip jar though 😭. We worked hard on that little box.

I get it.. I've pretty much given up trying to figure out why any of those idiots do anything. 🤷

My store drilled our jar to the countertop so we can only get it off with a key. We did this because another store we work close with got theirs stolen.

I once covered at a store that cut the bottoms out of their tip jars after one too many people tried to steal them

Had a really old lady take it once right around Christmas so we were like ahhh maybe she needed it
