320: this is the list of everything that I was never taught in training. - Misto (literally wtf is this) - americano - refreshers/ pink drink - how to “properly” request a day off (I hade to leave for college a day later Bc “the verbal confirmation wasn’t enough”) - the dishes - free food/drink on break (I have stolen so much) #accident - pouring anything other than regular shots (blonde, ristetto…etc.) - hot chocolate (I still just make it how I think it should be) - VSCB (learned yesterday we add vanilla syrup) - espresso frap - any ice tea - the difference between matcha lemonade and green tea lemonade - iced chai - any measurements that don’t correspond with the 2,3,4/3,4,5 (the shakers) - shaken espresso (deadass been giving people just literal shaken espresso with ice for 2 weeks) - iced coffee gets classic? Hmmm - just now learning the difference in charging for alt milk and a ✨spl✨ - setting boundaries outside of work ( I don’t respond to anyone, unless it’s my manager discussing schedule) - a skinny vanilla latte - pressing 4 instead of 1 for CF (learned that REAL quick) - that you HAVE to fill up the drink if they say no ice. Literally their scamming us. Idc tho - that iced matcha latte is made in the CF blender - chai pump is scary - you don’t have to always be in a rush - if you fall, make it a MOMENT - everyone you work with is gay: no exceptions - don’t fuck up when the DM IS THERE
I’ve been there for 5 weeks now and apparently I’ve caught on very quick, but I knew nothing after “training” I could make a mean latte tho.

It’s not standard to be made in a blender but it does give it better consistency. I don’t do this tho bc my location is way too busy.

That’s a barista hack and is definitely not the standard. Is should be made in a shaker (I make them in the blender all the time tho)

That's normal. Starbucks' approach to "training" is that it's just barely enough to get you functional on your first day with major gaps in your knowledge. Everything else you'll learn on the job by doing it. I don't like that approach to training because it can lead new hires to feel very frustrated in their first few months on the job.

- Misto (literally wtf is this) Half pike half steamed half and half - americano Shots and fill the rest up w water , one more shot than is in a normal drink: ice tall : 2 ice grande : 3 ice venti: 4 hot tall: 2 hot grande: 3 hot venti: 3 - refreshers/ pink drink Refresher base up to juice line, water or lemonade for regular drinks up to water/lemonade line, coconut milk up to water lem line for the drinks like pink drink and dragon drink, ice the rest of the way and shake w inclusions - how to “properly” request a day off (I hade to leave for college a day later Bc “the verbal confirmation wasn’t enough”) Bug ur manager or do it on the app - the dishes The way we do it is rinse all the visible icky stuff off w just water and then put it in the dish washer - free food/drink on break (I have stolen so much) #accident They probably don’t care if it’s drinks but you only get one free item a day, just ring it out w ur partner discount :) - pouring anything other than regular shots (blonde, ristetto…etc.) Just press the button and then treat it like a regular shot - hot chocolate (I still just make it how I think it should be) Pretty sure it’s equal pumps mocha and vanilla w whip :) - VSCB (learned yesterday we add vanilla syrup) Lol yes vanilla pumps tall:1 grande:2 venti:3 cold Brew up to top line, the proper ice scoop, just top it w vsc - espresso frap Pour in one shot for all the sizes, whole milk up to the bottom line, proper amount of base pumps tall:2 grande:3 venti:4 proper ice scoop, blend. No whip :) - any ice tea Tea up To juice line, water up to water/lemonade line, proper ice scoop - the difference between matcha lemonade and green tea lemonade Matcha lemonade is lemonade up to water/lem line and matcha scoops, green tea lemonade is green tea up to juice line and lem up to water/lem line - iced chai Chai pumps in cup tall:3 grande:4 venti:6, 2% up to top line, ice - any measurements that don’t correspond with the 2,3,4/3,4,5 (the shakers) I have no idea what this means I’m so sorry - shaken espresso (deadass been giving people just literal shaken espresso with ice for 2 weeks) Yeah Cue shots tall:2 grande:3 venti:4 pour into shaker w classic syrup pumps tall:3 grande:4 venti:6 and shake w ice, pour into cup and top w 2% - iced coffee gets classic? Don't be afraid to ask questions boo. I'd always tell everybody please ask questions bc I'd rather have customers get a slow correct drink than an incorrect fast drink.

Omg I know how to do everything now! I just thought u got a good item and drink for each break when I first started instead of just one a day. And I never knew that shaken espressos automatically got blonde shots. Stuff like that
