They are different drinks. An iced our over is made like an iced tea from a tea bag, you make it double strength and then p our over a full cup of ice. IMO she should have gone to a local shop because Starbucks doesn’t do pour overs very much anyway

It might have to do with price. I know that americanos are typically more expensive than a pour over. But pour overs give more labor to a store. I enjoy the pour over more than the americano.

Not really any that I could see, unless you made the pour over stronger before icing it. Some of the customers really want that pour over!!

I don't think so. They'd have to wait for the coffee to get lukewarm before pouring into a cup of ice which takes alot of time ..just sounds like too much for something that could be made in less than 5 min. Iced decaf Americano is more better and convenient for the customer. Smh of them ordering that tho lol 😆
