I said that I liked Starbucks products so it'd be cool to work for Starbucks, and also that I heard it was a very lgbt inclusive environment and that's a very reassuring thing for a workplace (since I am lgbt).

I was super honest, I said I wanted the free college benefit and the healthcare! I've been with the company just over two years now

I low key wanted to be a bartender because I find the fascination in making drink and I’m not 21 so a coffee barista is the closest 🤷🏼‍♀️

Same actually, im over 21 but I have 0 drink making experience so I thought it would be a good stepping stone

I was working at another fast food place at the time where I had been promised promotion and had it held over my head for *three years* while they outside-hired 5 other managers in that time who all didn’t work out and kept giving me BS excuses as to why I wasn’t being promoted.

My “why I want to work here” was “looking for a more people-centered environment with better opportunities for training and advancement.” I was trained well (half because I sought out training for myself rather than waiting for someone to direct or offer me training) and promoted to SSV within a year and am now on track for ASM just over 2 years in, so I’d say it worked out well for me.

I told them that I think they treat their employees well, and that I enjoy customer service. I have a lot of customer service experience so yee.

I said I’m always early plus I hear the employees get free coffee when they work, can’t really afford it anymore. Been with the company since 2005

I said I was looking for a way to get out of the house and make myself useful in the real world 😂

I think I said “I am now old enough to work, so I want to experience working.”

Going on 6 years now, and I’m pretty sure I’m a workaholic 🤷‍♀️

I wanted to learn new skills and build my experience to management so I could start my own business and know what I'm doing from the beginning. Been trying to be a shift for 8 months now and nothing

the environment, how hard working the baristas are, the coffee itself and the different recipes, and just developing skills and learning more about myself in general

I said that I just really loved the Starbucks I frequents vibe and that I wanted to work somewhere so positive and friendly.

Unfortunately I go to a really mellow Starbucks and the Starbucks I got hired at was so so slammed you never got to connect with anyone. We worked like we were robots. I had to quit.
