Help? Training resources? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by violetskies7
Are the quick reference routines (Milk steaming routine, beverage sequencing routine, customer support cycle, register routine, etc) not available to view at home through the partner hub?

I’m trying to prepare for training a new partner for the first time tomorrow and was going to print the quick reference routines but I can’t find them, only the activity guides.

Am I able to access these on the store computer? Just want to have everything handy! Tia

Hey there mate, im actually in the same boat as you, just started training a new barista for the very first time. Im unsure if you can access specific info on the various routines, but on your store ipad under the store resource app there is the activity guides for you to follow

Yeah pretty sure you need to be on a store computer :/ but they’re pretty straightforward so don’t stress too much over it. Definitely recommend having it with you still, but I would honestly go in maybe 5 min early to print it.

First day training usually consists of the less complicated stuff anyway, probably depending on what your SM wants. You likely won’t get to the core essentials tomorrow so you’ll have plenty of time to print out the training guide, don’t stress!

thanks i appreciate it!

tomorrow we’re doing coffee academy and customer support but i think we have some of the routines printed.

i’ve been a barista for two years and definitely don’t remember what the milk steaming routine is so i need a refresher on these things hahaha

Oh I’m sure you’ll be fine, it’s way more straight forward than you think (ie. milk steaming routine is literally walking you through pouring milk, aerating, purge steam wand, etc—all the stuff you just automatically do now). Besides that there’s probably some green bean cheat sheets on here or r/Starbucks that will have CS cycle on them too.
