My boss has got a real attitude and I'm tired of it (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey guys, I was just wondering if I could get your advice on something because I'm not sure what to do right now. So my GM these past couple of months have been displaying a very disrespectful attitude and it's come to a point where I am extremely tired of it. The other day, I overheard him talking badly about a barista (who's my close friend) to another barista in front of me. On another occasion, one of the shift managers had gotten another part-time job and I overheard my GM saying that well he can just quit to his face. He said it in an extremely disrespectful way and there's tons of more examples I have of my GM talking badly and just being downright disrespectful to the other Baristas. I'm tired of it and I know everyone else is too. I thought about going to him directly and talking about his behavior, but I know that he'll just nod and smile. He won't change anything and I'm not sure what to do. This needs to end soon. People are quitting because they can't handle how toxic the environment is and lot of it is coming from my GM. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this?

I'm sure others will have better advice than me but I'd create a journal with specific information of what he said, as best you can recall. Invite your partners to input their negative encounters also. Consider going to the District Manager with your compilation. I'm pretty sure they need specifics, including time and date as best you and your partners recall. They can't really do anything with a general "he's a jerk" statement

Thank you so much! That's such a great idea. I'll take it into consideration. ☺️
