I l think it’s pretty normal, I’m only 6 months in and i am only just now getting good at bar and actually being put on it

When its slow just ask? Like....especially after peak the bar partner probably doesn't want to be there. Slow points are the perfect time to practice bar, so assuming all other conditions are favorable (ie, no side tasks that urgently need to be done), there really isn't a reason for the shift to say no.

You may just be good on window. Not everyone is fast enough to keep up or has the right mix of fast and friendly. A lot of times the more senior people on my shifts will take those positions.

I didn't regularly get put on bar until I'd been working for around 6 months. Unfortunately I think it's pretty normal.

Hey! I’m a training green bean shift. I would highly advise talking to your shift and seeing if you can get on the same page!

Are you a morning shift? I suggested switching to the night shifts and learning the bar for about a month or two until you’re confident enough on bar… bar during mornings is super fast and leads will not put you there if you’re new because it’s really fast paced. It’s best to learn bar at nights and then go to morning and then y have that experience

Or just keep bugging your lead, they should atleast let you be support

Yup that’s pretty standard. I only got allowed to do bar about 8 months in. Now I’m the main bar partner lol it’ll take time until they trust you
