had something similar happen to me the other day. this old dude asks for a vanilla latte, so i say "can do. would you like that hot or iced?" and this dude said "room temperature." i just decided fuck it, and put it in a cold cup w "no ice."

This happened to me also. Only the girl insisted that a latte only comes as a hot drink and never iced.
I chuckled because her friend said to her, "I didn't know you worked as a batista before" and she responded with, "I haven't, but everyone knows that a latte is hot".
Ohh starbucks customers..

Can’t fix dumb

Whenever I ask older people (usually men) if they want it hot or iced they'll go on a tangent about how coffee should be hot and some look at me with the most disgusted look loll

The other day an older guy kept saying he was too old for iced coffee and that he wanted a hot latte and just repeated himself laughing as I made the joke, even involved the customer after him by saying he was too young to understand🥲

The only thing I can think of is they wanted the "traditional* macchiato that literally no one gets anymore because I've had a very similar experience with a customer. There's a way easier and nicer way for someone to ask for it....no one goes to starbucks to get real traditional coffee and if they do it's to purposely be a jerk.
