Starbucks is so fucking outrageous , they’re telling us about how they lost soooo much money during COVID like you want me ? A hourly partner to care about that from a BILLION dollar company???
Also they’re bitching about how our customer experience should be better like customers should be able to tell we’re having fun like were not ???? The customers treat us like SHIT! And Starbucks has continually showed us that the customer matters more than us. I am SOOO fed up of these entitled assholes treating us like shit.
Like I can have the best attitude and someone can toss it out of the window by being so fucking rude. Like yeah I love my job, yeah it’s cool but for the company to just go into that whole corporate bs is so annoying. Another thing is these damn outages like ppl do not care they expect their product to still be there for them like ??? Tf you want me to do about that? Ughh so frustrated.

They lost money in ONE QUARTER, last year, and have made 10s to 100s of millions of $$ in profit each quarter since. Profit, not revenue. All one need read is the statements they put out for the NYSE and you'll see that the company is practically drowning in cash.

To add another metric, stocks hovered around $85/share before the pandemic, and dropped down to around $45/share during that one quarter. For almost a year now though the stock has been at $110-115/share, with a peak of $126/share. Starbucks is way richer than it’s ever been.

As of yesterday, they were 119$/share. Just checked my Fidelity acct. Starbucks is doing just fine.

Plus they just sold off their shares to shinsaegae company in Korea for Starbucks Korea. They ain’t hurting for cash and that decision was the final stray for my wife. She’s quitting end of the month.

Right. My manager was up my ass about customer connections so I spent about an extra minute with these women trying to set up Apple Pay, and then got chewed out by this guy waiting for a sausage and egg sandwich cause whoever was on warming wasn’t there 🥲

My store was the highest volume store in our district even before covid. We’re doing almost twice the business we were doing before the pandemic. Starbucks is fine.

How fucking tone deaf do they have to be to bitch about losing money during a single quarter when their partners on the ground have to work multiple jobs to make rent and literally put their lives at risk to serve people their shit overpriced coffee. Yeah that 3rd place “be kind” training was a slap in the face after all the shit customers threw at us in the last year and a half. Send that to them, not me. I’m so tired of hearing how we need to connect more while we are understaffed, underpaid, overworked, and getting ready for another wave of possible restrictions. When I quit several years ago I got celebratory shoes and… I also need a job really badly again but every time I look at a store rn I’m like…. Nope. Rather go in debt several thousand more dollars than go there :)

This is exactly why when I quit, I stopped supporting the company. Started making my own coffee at home (which is WAY cheaper and tastes better IMO…) I’ve come up with some interesting beverages! They are garbage. 🙃

Not an employee but my husband is and been there 13 years. He says the raise is just them tricking ya'll giving it early instead of in January and I think it's for tenured employees? I know he said it's 6%. So they can claim they do pay some $15 an hour despite that not even outpacing inflation.
