Is the issue with using the tongs to touch the pork? Starbucks standards never have you touching any food so they may be using this as their rational.

That said, as long as you are willing to hand bagged product out at dt I don’t see why it would be hard to accommodate not having you on warming. If you are unable to touch even the packaged product then that would mean the only position you could work is bar, making it almost impossible to accommodate.

But to answer your question. If your rights have in fact been violated you should be able to rely on the govt to press the case.

it has to do with enabling people to consume forbidden stuff. i could technically work pos, drivethru, etc i would just need two seconds worth of help. idk about america but bacon products are hit or miss here (sell sometimes, but not ALL the time)

I work open to 8:30 an and sold a full tray of just bacon Gouda this morning in that time. At my store at least this would be a significant issue to the play caller. It would mean you can’t be on cs, warming, support, reg, dto, or dtr without breaking cycle.

Is this something that is very common for Muslims to not be able to do? There are several that work at my store and none of them follow this restriction. They all won’t eat pork, but have no issue with being assigned to any of these positions.

we barely sell that much lol. its random for us. also, its written for Muslims so they either are from a different sect or dont follow the writing. the same pertains to alcohol, but its fine to sell non halal meat like beef as Muslims can eat it in certain circumstances. especially being in diverse Canada, you'd think they'd be more... accepting?
