Transferring to a new store 😢 (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi there! I’m just looking for some words of encouragement atm. I had my last day at my home store yesterday and I’m so scared to transfer to the new store. Im moving back to school so that’s why I’m transferring. I really love my store manager and all my ssv, and I’m scared I’m going to have a bad experience. My new SM is friends with my current one so I’m not that worried but I hate change.
I see so many negative experiences in this subreddit including people having awful people in charge. I’ve heard really great things about my new store but man I’m scared. Luckily, my new store is joining the same district as my old one so there’s a chance I could pick up shifts there.
But man, I’m just really scared of change.

I started back in 2012. I’ve been a permanent partner at 6 different stores in 3 different states so far. As well as worked as a borrowed partner at many more.
The great thing about Starbucks is that somehow every store always has wonderful people working there.
It’s going to be weird for awhile. You’re going to feel brand new again. But give yourself at least one month before you decide you hate it. I can almost guarantee you’ll grow to love your new partners (and customers!) just as much.
