My last day at the store I’m at is on Sunday and I’m just now being told I’ve been doing things wrong 🤠 (self.starbucksbaristas)

Bruh I’ve been here since May and I was just now told I’m supposed to be dressed, hands washed, ready to go when I clock in and that I’m not allowed to make my own drinks even if I clocked out. What 😃
(Side note, I don’t really care if I’m not supposed to be doing these things, I admit that it’s my fault if so. It’s just the fact that I’m JUST now being told I’m doing stuff wrong and getting yelled at for it that bugs me.)

Lol I got chewed out by the SM for both things and got snapped at by a SSV for not being ready to go when I clocked in so 🤷♀️

You aren’t ever allowed to make your own drinks esp of clocked out. No one is behind the counter and off the clock.
These are corporate policies that have been in place for years.
And yes being ready to go when clocking in is professional courtesy, many will argue you should be paid for hand washing but everyone should be washing hands all the time paid or not,

I never washed my hands before clocking in because the BOH computer and iPads are so dirty that you should wash your hands after you handle them. McDonald’s found traces of feces on their registers.

Never heard about the clock in rule but. Yes technically you aren’t supposed to make your own drink, however my store doesn’t care lol

I told them fuck that, I’m making my own drink. I’m not spending 6 of my 10 minute brake in line just to have someone else pour my black cold brew.
