I’m looking at my pay stubs and it says Spotify on it. Is the Spotify premium free or does it get taken out of our paycheck ?

It's free, but you get taxed on it as if it's part of your income. So it doesn't come out of your paycheck (so say if you make $10 an hour and work 20 hours your paycheck will still be $200), but you pay taxes as if you got that extra $8 for spotify in cash (so for income tax your paycheck is $208)

I'm going to assume you only see a change of you use it?

I'm fairly sure it appears in everyone's pay statements, since I hadn't activated mine until this month and it still showed up

It shows up no matter what because it’s a company benefit but legally they have to account for it. Whether you use it or not, it’s there. It literally has no impact on you, it shows up as net $0 at the end of the day.

Are you sure about that? I’ve always had spotify through school or a family plan, so I’ve never used the starbucks spotify plan- and I’ve also never seen a line for it on my paystub.
I also vaguely remember reading an FAQ that said you would only be taxed on the Spotify perk if you used it

Well, no, I guess I’m not 100% certain. You could be right.
Either way, if it’s on there, it’s not creating a negative effect on your paycheck.

You can opt out of using the Spotify benefit. Rather pay $5.

Please teach me how, I never have used Spotify but I set it up because my old boss and co workers pressured me into doing it. I checked my paystub online & saw my ytd sooty charges of $64

Where do you find your pay stubs i e been looking for mine for months

It’s was very complicated for me to set up but go onto the partner hub, then click under benefits & you should see my partner info. Once your there the page should contain a hyperlink which takes you to a new page & you have to create a passcode I believe.
