You guys didn’t call the cops and file a police report?

I was there for the original incident. 2 partners from the original incident were there last night and to my knowledge the cops weren’t called last night.

You guys need to call the police today and file a police report along with the incident report. Get the police report number and the name of the officer in charge of the case. They might ask for video footage which is obtainable by going through proper channels at corporate. This type of thing isn’t a joke and if you need to go around your manager and do it yourself or get an SSV to do it, then just do it. I’m an SSV in a highly homeless populated area and I call the police on average per week once a day. We used to let things slide here and there, but we are done letting things just happen. We have 3 people who have stay away orders (trespassed) from our store now.
Don’t let anyone tell you it’s nothing. Don’t “threaten” to call the police anymore, just call them. Your SSVs and managers #1 priority should be the safety of every single person in that store THATS INCLUDING YOU.

CALL THE COPS IN BOTH SITUATIONS

Threats and stealing money? Immediate phone call to the police. If you see them again please do it right away and file another incident report so you can say it’s happened more than once

If tips were stolen then you need to immediately call the cops - that's Starbucks policy

I’ve called the cops on seconds-third grade kids cause they were playing in the parking lot with no parents around. I would’ve called the cops on these kids in a heart beat too.

At this point cops need to be called. I personally would have handled the situation originally differently. I would have gone out with broom and dustpan, wet towel and would ask which person in the group want to clean up their mess as you're not their maid. You need to act like a parent when it comes to teens, just telling them to be respectful don't work, also telling to leave or cops get called unfortunately gets you now to this situation.
Are you near school? Did school already start?

Yes very close 5 minutes walk from a junior high. It’s always an issue at my store every year, it just normally doesn’t happen 2 days into their school year. I’ve worked at my store for almost 4 years now and every year except for last year (COVID) they eventually get banned from coming for typically the remainder of the school year.

We got high school near us and we lay down the rules from beginning. If you making a mess, you are sweeping/wiping table . We once had a girl that decide to spill her drink every time she came. After making her mop it herself for a week straight, she decided it wasn't fun anymore and stopped. We rarely have to ban them and even more rare do we need to have to get cops involved. Now unless the group is completely new, they remind each other not to make a mess or else.
In your case i would take photo of those kids to their school, i am sure principal will know who they are.
