FULL Mark outs should be allowed to use at other stores. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by MemesandSpeech
Honestly, I don't understand why some stores won't allow to use your FULL partner food and drink mark out because it's not your **"home store"** when I be having mad partners from other stores telling me to ring it up as a mark out. It also be those partners who complain about their drink. **"Oh this don't taste right." / "Um, why is it not filled all the way to the top?" / OK! but my store does it like THIS / etc."**

Wait - some corporate SMs think they don’t have to give daily food/bev mark outs to partners that work at other stores? I doubt that’s ok and if they are doing it, they are getting away with it because no one’s complaining.

Also if a partner goes to the trouble to add their partner numbers to their app and communicates them by scanning their app, I’ve seen stated on this sub that no ID check is required

Really so should I tell them before I scan or after they scan because they will ask for my numbers and I just have it on the app

I just put the app on "scan only" and let it scan my starbucks card (the partner card that you get off the partner hub, the same place where you can view your pay checks from home or BOH) and let them know my number is in my app. I think (not in front of a POS right now so not sure) that the partner just needs to touch "discount" and then select the beverage and/or food and/or beans mark out. It's easier and faster than entering a seven or eight digit number and I've seen it stated here that ID is not needed then (we don't check ID in my store but they do in others.)

I have gotten my partner markouts in a different city! Your numbers work anywhere.

As long as the store is corporate, you’ll be able to use your mark outs there.

My store always does markouts for anyone

I think.... technically the off the clock food and drink markout benefit that they initiated during covid expired earlier this year.... Some Store managers care to enforce it, others do not. Just check with yours.

But. You are allowed to ask for ID if you don't recognize the partner-I do it with anyone I don't know. And if you get nervous about it double check with your DM, and if they confirm cite them when someone is being an Ass.

As for complaints about drink quality, you can always let them know that you can pull the recipe card and make it to company standard-unless they asked for modifications... then... well ask the bar person make it by the card with the mods. And I'd make the employee wait until the actual card is in hand just to then some extra quality customer service. They should know better than anyone what it is like to work in the store.

Cool. News to me. Last time I heard about it, it was Spring. But then again it's been a while since we've had a store meeting.
FfierceLaw 3 points 1y ago
It’s in a weekly update, it does expire in September but it’s been extended twice already, could be again

It’s been extended like 10,000,000 times already. Just waited for it to be permanent at this point.
