ok so i’ve worked for starbucks for a year next month and my car needs to be fixed, is there anyway i can get some help from the cup fund? what even is it? i live pretty far from work so my car is a necessity and any financial help i can get would be amazing but i’m not really sure what to do

From what I’ve learned you can’t get any help unless you’re in an emergency situation (lost house, spouse in hospital, etc) or about to be evicted or have utilities shut off. I tried applying a few times because I knew I wouldn’t be able to pay my rent, but I had to provide them with an eviction notice for them to help me, which would’ve been too late

There’s actually a few threads (i believe) from corporate that helps explain the CUP fund and just what it entails- typically you can just access the partner hub and it’ll bring it up- sometimes google has PDFs available when you search it - bringing it up to your manager is typically a good suggestion for guidance - however I believe not all who apply are granted the funds they’re looking for and it’s also (from what I’m aware of) pretty limited to how much a partner receives. Hope this helps!
