Do I ever get my tips…? (self.starbucksbaristas)

So my last day was on Monday and I have an early flight tomorrow (I’m moving). But someone just reminded me that in my 2+ months working at Starbucks I only got my tips once at the beginning of July. My mom says that they basically stole money from me.. Do I get them in my last paycheck or should I call or something?

my manager is mailing them to me since i moved locations and transferred stores, so if you have their contact info i would recommend asking if that would be possible

If you talk to your manager I’m sure they’d also just let your mom pick them up given the situation. (Unless you’re all moving?)
Otherwise the official policy is they have to send you your tips in a money order. Talk to the SM. If they don’t seem willing you can call your DM or PSC

Not sure if this is allowed- but one of our partners refused to come in to get her tips so my manager worked out a deal w her where she venmo’d her the tip amount and kept the cash itself. Mildly sus but at least youd get the $.

Honestly I’d do that, but my (ex) manager is a goodie two shoes and probably wouldn’t do that. Venmo would be much more useful to me though haha

Yeah me too. My second flight just got cancelled so I’ve been at the airport in a foreign state for hours all day trying to find an available flight today, so I’m running low on what I can spend :(

The store provides tips in cash. They are calculated weekly based on the hours you worked and the amount of tip money the store received. Most stores keep them in envelopes with each partner’s name. There will be a sheet with everyone’s name and you have to check yours off each week when you pick up your tips. Also, don’t forget to declare your cash tips on Partner Hub when you pick them up (you can only do this from a store computer).
