Are you asking about income taxes? Starbucks well handle that part of the declaration for you! No extra reporting is needed by you.

That only true for mobile tips. Cash tips are on us to declare.
I won’t provide illegal advice here but many people choose not to declare cash tips and rely on the fact that they are such a small fish in a ginormous ocean that it will be ignored.

All your tips are saved in an envelope. A lot of partners don’t collect their tips for a few weeks, so it’s totally fine and you won’t get in trouble at all :) you just have to ask the shift person for your tips. Then, you have to initial your name on the piece of paper and if your tips are over $20 within one week, you have to sign off online as well

Yep, you're supposed to declare them in the partner hub🙃 I know it's in the same area as your paystub, and there's a section for declared cash tips. You're supposed to declare the amount you get every week, and can only declare for 2 weeks at a time (you can't declare what you got 3 weeks ago).
Alternatively, you can just put them on your tax form next year when it asked for undeclared cash tips, and that will cover you. I was told this is the only reason you are supposed to declare them, for tax purposes at the end of the year, which, would be nice, but that means I have to go in every single week and insert that information.

I was told by my SM when hired that your tips are pre-taxed and therefore do not need to be declared when filing taxes??

legally i never wrote this, but half the partners in my store cannot remember the last time they declared cash tips
