cs brew cycle step-by-step? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ellsb3lls
hi, 320 here. i’m a bit confused by the exact procedure of the brew cycle. for my store we brew 3 coffees and then 2 coffees after 11:30 am. i know the order of how it goes: dark ➡️ pike ➡️ blonde. but i’m having a hard time with knowing what to switch out and dump… the first time i was put on cs by myself i literally forgot to brew pike and then we didn’t have it so my shift had to step in and help me 😭 i don’t want to experience that again. any tips are appreciated.

Depends on how your coffees are set up! Mine has blonde and pike off the machine, then dark and the current brewing coffee on the machine.

If the timer goes and you just brewed dark, that means you now have two batches of dark roast. You’re going to take the dark that was already made (the first, oldest batch) and dump out the remains (just sit it on top of the sink and put the tab pour thing under so it auto pours).

Now move the dark you just brewed to the empty spot where your old batch of dark (which is now at the sink) was.

Put the next tag on the old dark (Pike) and move it to the only empty spot left, on the machine to brew the next batch. Set the timer after you hit brew

So if it’s three coffees it’s every 10 minutes. What you do is if you’re on the “dark” part of the cycle, you brew the new batch of dark, and then dump the old batch of dark so that it’s always fresh. Then 10 mins later, you brew pike, and dump the old pike, etc
