Heard it through the grapevine that baristas hired before 07/21 are getting $15/hr starting in October and shifts are getting $17+/hr anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Depends on your area. Baristas across all markets should be making 12 (shifts will presumably be making at least 15) starting Oct. 4. Areas with higher cost of living may see higher raises. If you already make 12/hr, you should still be getting at least a 5% raise if you hired before June(?). Your manager should be letting you know your new rate this month.

It should, because it's the new starting rate not a performance based raise.
