I think most stores are just looking for employees period, so I wouldn't be too concerned about only looking for part time work. I will say that it doesn't look great if you're not available on evenings or weekends at all though.

Monday mornings are when pretty much all store managers are guaranteed to be doing admin work, so that's probably the best time to try to get ahold of them. Try calling late morning/early afternoon (between 11:00-1:00ish) to make sure you don't catch them during peak when they might be helping out on the floor.

If they don't nail down an interview with you over the phone, I would recommend sending them an email to follow up so they have your interest in writing and are hopefully less likely to forget. Good luck!

We are currently using a recruiter to find new hires then they are scheduling interviews. The problem is we can’t train more than one or two new people per week so it drags out the hiring process.
