I’m wondering about transferring to a slower store… can y explain how that didn’t help out at all?

Not op, but having worked at a busy as heck drive thru and also a slower store, the slower store may have less customers but they also have less baristas on a shift. I worked at the busiest drive thru in my district and we would have 9 to 11 partners for peak, at a regular drive thru that was lower we would have 5 to 7 for peak, and in a cafe only store we had 3 to 4 for peak and each was a struggle in its own way. I haven't worked a cafe only in years but man when I went there I was absolutely shocked by how much work those baristas were doing.

I would still 100% try it. But there are a few reasons it didnt really help me. 1. It just made me realize I hate the actual job, and it wasn’t just my old store 2. the customers are the exact same no matter where you go and 3. I was a closer at my old store, which was perfect because I’m a night person. But my new SM would only accept me if I was an opener so now I’m opening 5 days a week so I’m miserable. There is also what the other commenter posted, about there being very few people on a shift. For me thats not too bad because this store is slowwww like ungodly slow. But if it’s a busier cafe that can definitely effect things. So definitely still try transferring, it could still help you!! I’m definitely much happier here than at my busy DT store, just not happy enough unfortunately.
